Sternum strap, load-lifter straps and belt stabilizers help balance the load; Scherer Cinch pulley-like system doubles hipbelt tightening force. Removable, floating top pocket converts to a waistpack for day hikes or forays from base camp. Two zippered side pockets, two mesh water bottle pockets and a large front pocket with organizer keep essentials handy and help you keep track of gear. Zippered stash pocket, security pocket and a fleece-lined optics pocket keep your valuables stowed away securely. Daisy chain, ice axe loop and lash tabs let you strap extras onto the outside of the pack. Spindrift collar cinches down over the main compartment to seal out the weather. Main compartment holds a hydration reservoir and features tube ports on lid (reservoir sold separately). High-density polyurethane (HDPE) framesheet and twin aluminum stays protect your back from bulky or pointy items while supporting heavy loads. Side and vertical compression straps secure and stabilize the load. Lumbar pad and breathable backpanel increase your carrying comfort.
