The 10.5 Accelerator Rope by Bluewater is considered one of the better all around ropes on the market. Bluewater designed the Accelerator with performance and durability as the most important aspects of the rope. With its 10.5 sized sheath it can run over sharp rocks and take falls over and over without losing its elongation and still have superior handling. Bluewater starts with the finest nylon fiber and processes it from start to finish with their proprietary Duration Thermal Stabilization (DTS). This is a precise technique that puts the nylon under a critical heat treatment that allows them to acheive a better balanced rope with incredible endurance to taking falls, running over sharp rock and just being used day in and out. Some of the 10.5 ropes are dry treated for ice climbing or mountaineering. The Double-Dry treatment is applied to each individual fiber in the sheath and core allowing just 11% water absorbtion (compared to the standard 20% - 30%) so your rope remains light and flexible under adverse conditions. Double-Dry also increases rope longevity and is an option on all of the dynamic cords. These ropes also include a Bluewater rope bag to keep it free from debris, dirt and makes it easier to carry to and from the crag.
