Sterling Rope 3/8" 10mm HTP Static Rope

The Sterling 3/8" 10mm HTP Static Rope is made from 100% polyester, which has proven to be the best material for hauling, jumaring and rapelling because of its low elongation. HTP (High Tenacity Polyester) has less than 1% stretch per 300 pound load, making these activities much more efficient and easier to do. HTP Static Ropes are also better at UV resistance during long periods of exposure such as: big walls, glacier travel, and expeditions. The 3/8" provides high strength and low stretch when being used for any of these endeavors, making it ideal for using when performing lightweight fixing or hauling/tag lines. The HTP static rope also is a dry rope, meaning it has been treated to repel water and ice when exposed, keeping your rope's performance strength, suppleness and elongation qualities at its peak no matter where you go or what you do. Warning: HTP should never be used in situations where any potential for shock-loading (such as a fall) may occur. It will result in very high impact forces. In these situations, a nylon static or dynamic rope would be more appropriate.
