Your alpine boots are great for tackling gnarly lines, but not when they leave eyeball-sized wounds on your heels during the hike in. Bench the blister machines and charge just as hard on the Scarpa Tornado LE Alpine Touring Boot. This boot is Scarpas Limited Edition model from the 05 / 06 season and features a standard nylon liner, which cuts weight for your climbs without sacrificing control and comfort for the way down. Burly enough to handle the sickest lines you want to ski but agile enough to hike, the Tornado tours comfortably when switched into walk mode so you can enjoy the entire trip instead of suffering through the approach. The DIN-certified plastic outsoles pull double duty as a touring and in-bounds rigthe Tornado LE fits both AT and alpine bindingsmaking this an extremely versatile boot. Four-buckle closure and a power strap guarantee optimal fit and performance that doesnt end at the resort ropes.
