Gregory introduces the Alpinisto backpack this season. At 2900cu in for a size medium, this pack weighs a mere 4lb 11oz. It can be stripped down to travel even lighter for fast-paced summit pushes, extended adventure races, and bare-essentials backcountry weekends. Backcountry-friendly features include a removable bivy pad, ski and crampon carry, dual ice axe tubes, and a hydration sleeve and port. The waistbelt has gear-racking capabilities. The top pocket is contoured to accommodate climbing with your helmet on. In addition to removing the bivy pad, if youre looking to shave even more weight (up to a pound), you can remove the waistbelt, framesheet, and stay.
