Developed specifically for the guys who want to go all-mountain without dragging a toe, the Burton King is a twin-tipped design built to explore with just enough stable flex for new and recreational riders. The slightly wider performance profile is similar to Burton's Elite snowboard, but this King isn't a despot--there's plenty of forgiveness for the tricky spots where margins for error seem pretty thin. It's made with a forgiving two-layer Biax fiberglass construction that takes you down the mountain with predictable perfection and uncompromising edge hold. The King has Burton's proven Super Fly wood core, a vertical sandwich of mixed hard and soft woods for response and moderate pop without a lot of excess weight. This is a great choice for guys who are new to snowboarding or anyone who can't decide between the park, pipe, rails and groomers. We also like the fact that the King is available in a 167-cm. length, so the biggest of the big boys can play without overpowering the park and pipe potential.
